Vistry and The Hyde Group have been granted planning consent by Medway Council for Phases 4 and 5 of the Rochester Riverside project in Kent.
These latest developments will bring an extra 353 homes to the £419m regeneration scheme, carried out in partnership with Medway Council and Homes England.
Designed by architects BPTW, the work will include 115 houses and 238 flats, crafted by Vistry under its Countryside Homes brand.
With planning approval now in place, construction for Phases 4 and 5 will start at the end of 2025.
This detailed application follows a hybrid planning application, initially approved in February 2018, which outlined the potential for up to 1,400 new homes at Rochester Riverside.
These new phases will build upon the success of the earlier stages of the project, where 502 new homes have already welcomed residents.
Brendan Evans, managing director for Vistry Kent, said: “The addition of 353 homes in these phases will address the ongoing demand for housing in the area and help sustain the project’s progress as we prepare to submit plans for the final phase of Rochester Riverside next year, completing this exemplary regeneration scheme.”
